I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The rooms offered a wonderful view across fields to the road behind where I lived as a child and of the edge of Parkhurst forest, which is a favourite place. The beds were very comfy, and the rooms, although lacking a bathmat and a drinking glass, were clean, spacious, and cozy. The proximity to shops and pubs made it very convenient.

The location was ideal, just round the corner from a Wetherspoon and a street away from town shops. Although there was a small hiccup of arriving to a cold room due to a cleaning oversight, the central location was great for exploring Newport and within walking distance to industrial estates.

The dining experience was very good, and I would definitely stay here again. The homemade marmalade was a delightful touch, although waiting until 10 am for breakfast was a bit of a downside.

I had a magical view at midnight across fields to the road where I lived as a child, with glimpses of Parkhurst forest. The room was a bit cold but charming with a Mansard roof. The service was exceptional, with three staff members going above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. The location in the center of Newport was convenient, albeit a bit cramped at times. The dining experience was delightful with ample choices, even for the evening meal. Overall, a delightful stay with some minor room for improvement.

Staying on the first floor provided me with a wonderful view of the fields, road, and Parkhurst forest, a favorite childhood spot. The room had everything I needed, but the hotel is starting to show signs of needing refurbishment, especially the carpet and bathroom. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for improvement in maintenance.
